me and Booch

For some reason, I started referrring to Bella as Bella Booch.....it then became just 'the Booch".......it seems to fit.....and now she goes around, saying "I da Booch'....its cute.....

What's so funny???

Bella LOVES to laugh, and she has a hearty one..!

What's so funny???

who left these kids unattended????

this summer, we were able to get together with a lot of the families we went to China with up in the western Mass area. We rented out a large pavilion, and had it catered with all of the families staying at a hotel...it was a HUGE success...!! The reunion was on Saturday, but the Friday before some families got together at Six Flags Amusement Park....here are some of the China babies hanging out in their strollers at Six Flags.....the reunion figures to be an annual event, with plans for this years reunion already underway.......Hopefully, families will continue to come...it is great seeing the kids grow.....and change....and its fun sharing stories and reminicising...,,for the two weeks we were in China, they were our families, and we remain close with a lot of them to this day...

who's got the clicker????

even at a young age, Bella has learned the importance of the all powerful, clicker.......she finds it and easily turns the TV on........now, if she can just get me a beer, we'd be all set...!!

handsome dude...

we can't forget 'number one', which we lovingly refer to Zach as.....Words cannot begin to say how grateful we are that he's Bella's big brother......we were truly blessed that he was able to share our journey with us, and he helped out so much in China......it was a difficult trip for all, and he came through it like a trooper.....he showed maturity in China beyond his 6 years.....Hard to believe in a couple of months, he'll be 7....!!

Siblings....!

Bella's love for Zach is INCREDIBLE...she always needs to know where he is..what he is doing....yes, sometimes she 'bothers' Zach, but he loves her and looks out for her.....Bella, on the other hand, thinks the sun rises and sets on him....Here's hoping they always remain close....

Pool time...

both our kids LOVE the water, which isn't a bad thing (especially with both neighbors having pools). Here's a picture of them up in Maine this summer, swiming....

hair finally grew in....

We realized when we were in China that the kids hair was 'shaved' a bit in a little buzz cut (could feel it....).....it took a while, but Bella's hair finally started to grow in.......later pics will show this....heres a pic from the summer, showing her hair coming in....

Caught...!!!

yup you caught me....!

Posts...Pictures

As previously stated, been close to a year since anything was updated on this blog....so, will try and put some pictures and comments from the past year, showing Bella and Zach from this past year...

First picture: Bella at the beach this summer (vacationed in Maine)

ALMOST one year later.....time to Update...!

Wow...it is hard to believe that around this time LAST year, we had our referral from the Adoption agency about Bella......had a couple of photos of her, and were just waiting our travel plans....

A LOT has changed since then.......Bella is a part of the family, and it is like she has ALWAYS been with us.....she just fits right in.......I will Try and update as much as I can about what has transpired since we've been home, including updated photos of Bella....Zachary....our family.....but, for the time being, just wanted to say that all are happy, healthy and well, and we are so glad to have Bella in our lives.

As most of you know, Bella was born May 10th, 2006, so she will be celebrating her 2nd Birthday this year...She is very very VERY active (more so than Zach was at this age) and certainly gives us a run for the money......She eats and sleeps FANTASTIC (she would eat all day long if we gave her the opportunity, so that hasn't changed since China)........She is healthy and happy and is speaking better each day.......

Tina just pointed out to me that she is a budding artist, as she is trying to decorate our hallway and kitchen walls with her 'stenciling' technique....

Zach is doing great as well....He is now in the first grade......He does great in school, has been doing karate for almost a year now (and seems to really enjoy it and does very well with it...very focused).....He also plays soccer in the spring, and basketball in the fall (mmmm possible scholarship would certainly help defray some of the college costs...).....but, like all kids his age, his first love is.......Video games...! Yes, when WE were his age, we'd be outside from sunrise to sunset.....but not this generation of children...they would prefer to defend Earth from attacking alien life forms found on their Playstation 2 or X Box system........Oh well....least it's something that Dad can play with him (although, last tally in the Backyard Football challenge? Zachary 8 Wins; Dad: 1........

We dont know who will be reading this anymore.....yes, i stopped when we got home from China.....and, well, feel like now's a good time to provide updates, one year (or there about) later.....We can use this to provide updated photos...information....milestones....for those interested.......We do feel bad that we've been home for almost a year, and there are a lot of friends that still haven't meet Bella..........We're hoping this spring...summer, that can change.....

Next update will mostly be photos....
